Cavity Lake

Well, the Cavity Lake fire is winding down. I spent 14 days assigned to the fire and several just free lancing. I started doing structure protection and then rolled in to blasting fireline and hazard trees. Anxious for things to get back to normal. Usually there is only three of us at my station, but at the peak of the fire there was well over 500 people. My fall will be full trying to get the station back to normal repairing damage like severed radio and phone lines. Patching holes in walls from running temporary phone and power cables. And then trying to get grass to grow again...

I have lots of pictures and video that I'm trying to put together and edit so someday I can show those to anyone interested. In the meantime updates and pictures can be found at www.boreal.org
