Well as most have heard we have quite a large fire up here in Grand Marais. It all started on May 5. We responded to a fire threatning structures as Tuscorora Lodge. We responded with everything in "the barn". With the help of the local VFD and DNR we were able to save the lodge. The following days we weren't so lucky. Sunday the fire blew up and chased us time and time again. Every group of home we tried to save we were chased out. Many of time when we got back in the homes and cabins were gone. We were able to make a stand at Seagull Outfitters and safe. It took every thing we had to save. Even worse it was at night so there were no aircraft to help. The picture below is from Seagull outfitters and that is my truck with flames all around us. We weren't only protecting the outfitters but that was our safety zone as well. I will hopefully have some more pictures when I get home. By the way the fire burnt right on by and claimed many more homes up the trail.

That's all I have time for right now. Will put some more info up when I have some time...
