This weekend we helped our friends Blake and Jen Freking run the White Oak Classic ( http://www.whiteoakclassic.org/ ). They ran two ten dog teams about 130 miles. This race was the first race for many of these dogs. Blake and Jen own and run Manitou Kennels ( http://www.racingsiberians.com/ ) They have over 70 usually. Anyway, this race started at Deer River and finished in Marcel. It was a long nite. They started at about 1 in the afternoon and ended at about 10 am the next morning. It's been along time since I've pulled an all nighter but I made it.

The dogs are excited to start.
And Jen is off.
And two minutes later Blake is off.
Next week when I get home I will post the rest of the pictures on our photo site.
