What is Normal?

Well things are pretty much back to normal. We've been getting rain and all the lakes and rivers are up. We are still in a drought so it only takes 3 or 4 days without rain and we get dry again. We even had three lightning fires last week. They were found early so they were only single tree fires. Last weekend Mom and Dad were up and I was able to get a day off to hang out with them. It was a fun couple days. On our days off we went down to the cities. We actually traded in Theresa's pick-up for a new car. Instead of her truck which got about 12-14 miles per gallon we bought a Volkswagen Jetta TDI which has been getting 50+ miles per gallon. Theresa is getting used to driving a car rather then a pick-up. Right now I'm in Marion, IL for training. I'm taking Incident Leadership. It's the final class I need so I can be a division supervisor. I'll be here for a week then it will be back home. I'm really looking forward to the Fourth of July because Theresa and I will be at the cabin. We're planning on being there July 1-5 as long as nothing happens at work.

Well maybe I'll have more interesting stuff next week and maybe some pictures....Have a nice week.

Matthew and Theresa,
Thanks for a fun couple of days. It was great to see the fire area and have lunch up the trail. Even mini golf was fun (I lost). Are the flowers blooming yet?

Be safe in your travels.

Love, Mom and Dad
