What about Bob?

Well, another deer hunting season is over. We spent just over a week at the Lake this year with not as good of luck as we were hoping for. First of all this was Theresa's first real hunting trip. Before we even left home she named the deer she was planning on shooting, "Bob". Well we spent a couple days hunting out on the island with now sign to be found.

So, we moved to the mainland to hunt. We tried several different places around Elbow and even just north of Buyck around Tim Green's land. We saw lots of signs. We spent alot of time behind the Goering's cabin were Theresa even spotted Bob but it was to dark to get a good shot.

We didn't find Bob but Chase did find a doe which ways less then Frank. We ate part of it for a snack and some for dinner one night and it was sure good.

And if you read Katie's Blog, she almost got sent home her first night when she was going to make Spaghetti for dinner after we had it twice and macaronni and cheese once. She earned her keep by taking us to The Landing for burgers. Thanks again Katie...

Theresa got to drive the boat across one day. I think she thought she was in a Coast Guard ice breaker not a 16' Crestliner with a 6hp motor. But she had fun...

Katie even came out in the woods in search of the ellusive Bob...

Chase even found time to talk on the phone between slaying deer. Lets all assume it was K2 (even though it was probably Chris). If you want to hear a description of Chase's gun click here... http://www.bananasatlarge.com/AIFF-Sounds/AK-57.mov

All in all it was a fun week we hung out at the Cabin. Chase and K2 beat Theresa and myself at
Sequence, several times. And Chase treated us to Swedish Pancakes not once but twice. (notice the fine china in the picture) Grandma and Grandpa even skipped church to come out and have some pancakes.

Well now it's almost Thanksgiving. Look forward to seeing most of you and if we don't hopefully everybody has a great day and enjoy your turkey... Theresa is already down in the cities and I will be headed down on the weekend. Be safe everybody....
